About the Performing Arts Center

The Performing Arts Center was constructed as a Locally Funded Initiative (LFI) component of the Kenton Middle/High School construction project. It replaced the Kenton Middle School Auditorium, which was constructed in 1939 as a part of the Civilian Conservation Corps during World War II. Citizens of Kenton felt it was important to continue to support The Arts in the community with a state-of-the-art facility.

When it was constructed, it was the most technologically advanced performing arts venue in Hardin County. The PAC can seat 7XX.

The Loading Dock is at ground level. There is a direct path from the loading dock to upstage left.

The PAC features an Allen & Heath SQ6 as a front-of-house console. Everything in the PAC is Dante-capable, meaning the posibilities are virtually endless. The PAC also features a Dante-capabale Mac with QLab, which makes multitrack playback and recording a breeze. There are 12 wireless microphone receivers, with 12 handheld transmitters and 12 bodypack transmitters, each with a lavilier microphone and a cowboy countryman option. The PAC has various microphones types for micing an array of instruments.

A PTZ Camera is available at the back of the house with a strong optical zoom for streaming and recording performances. There are several preset camera positions or users can create their own. Streams can be sent to live.kentoncityschools.org or a streaming platform of the users choice.
